Despair to hope

Let me paint a picture…………

You’re in the “I have a dream” phase of your life, and you visualise the kind of life you desire for your future. You have this deep desire that is almost random, and you can’t quite explain its origin. In your quest to find a justifiable reason for this “dream,” you come to a realisation that it actually is imparted by God. You can’t fully explain the dream, but you have a country and a purpose. You begin your journey to a road less travelled

You travel with an understanding that life is a journey and have the intention to embrace the process despite obscurity. Your faith, hope and optimism fuels this dream and when you visualise it, you can see yourself walking down the streets of the country, in a class studying the course you’ve so desired, and walking into rooms that affirm your career choices while upscaling your career at the same time.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for,the evidence of things not seen.

Think about what faith means to you, my definition is from a verse in the bible; Hebrews 11:1. The journey becomes difficult to comprehend as you can visualise your dream but it’s not tangible yet and to add insult to injury, you’re not sure when and how you will get there.

Faith and hope actually coexist in harmony. When you have faith, you have hope. These 2 realities are mutually beneficial, and you embrace both in pursuit of your “dream.” You are, however, not ready for the turn your journey takes.

When you embark on your journey in pursuit of your dream, often times the destination is the same, you will get there, it is the “how” that could be quite surprising. Mine was unexpected, and I am willing to share as it could be similar to yours. If not, you could learn from my experience.
